
HAROLD WILSON
M.Ed, Exercise Science & Kinesiology
In addition to completing countless races, including more than 25 Ironman distance triathlons, Coach Harold also holds a master’s degree in Kinesiology/Exercise Science from the University of Texas at Austin. Following suit with many great exercise physiologists before him, Harold has applied his knowledge of principles, scientific literature, and practical application to his coaching practice. Coach Harold has over 15 years’ experience working with athletes with much success. He has networked and collaborated with many great coaches, professional, and amateur athletes.
For more than 15 years, Coach Harold has guided athletes to their first finish lines, to the Boston Marathon, to the Ironman World Championships, and every endurance event in between. He has also worked extensively in the field of Strength Coaching which has given Harold experience working with professional athletes from the NFL, NBA, MLB, and several Olympic sports. Harold believes in proper physiological assessment and the understanding that improvement comes from consistent and disciplined work.
There are no get rich quick schemes in triathlon. Only determination and healthy progress over time breeds successful performance. Coach Harold’s foundations and principles are proper physiological assessment, proper lifestyle and goal assessments, intelligent training plans that target specific parameters of each individual athlete, and proper balance of family, work, life, and sport.
